Each day many people let their inside fears stop them from making life-changing decisions. No one will refute that it is threatening to move out of your comfort zone, but once you challenge your fear and take action, you can gain great things.
1. Dream Wonderful Dreams
Think you could be, do and have anything you wish. How is what you want different from your life today? Once you’ve established your dream, you can take the proper action to make it come true.
2. Make An Informed Decision
In all decisions we make, we exert the ability to shape and hold our own life. You have power over your personal choices. Observe how your life changes with every decision you make. Take responsibility for your decisions so you can determine your future.
3. Filter Your Dreams Through Your Subconscious Mind
Great dreams will not change your life. It’s what you do with these dreams that is important. Filter your dreams, created in your mind, through the logical screen of your mind = your left brain. In order to achieve your dream, the left hemisphere has to believe that the dream is possible. Only then can the subconscious mind take-over.
4. Build A Supporting Squad
Select people who can help you gain your dream. Many people find it difficult to ask for help. They think they should be able to do everything themselves or they will be obliged to someone for their assistance. No person is an island. No one has all the answers and there are many unusual ways to pay someone back. Find support early in the process and your journey will be much more rewarding!
5. Keep Track
Keep track of your progress. Determine if where you are now is where you should be. Learn from your successes and failures and define what you need to work on to achieve your goal.
6. Set Up A Baseline
The baseline is where you are now – it’s your starting point. With all you have planned, it is now time to move forward. If some obstacle hinders your progress, you will need to evaluate what went wrong, make some modifications and start moving forward again.
7. Know Where Your Destination Line Is
The destination line is your wished-for outcome. As you focus on the ultimate goal, don’t forget the short-term goals. Planning and attaining small goals helps give your self-confidence a boost and keeps you driven to continue plugging towards your long-term goals.
8. Reward Yourself
Kudos from others are great, but it is also important to reward yourself. Write down how you will reward yourself when you reach a certain goal and follow through. Take that crazy vacation you have dreamed about or buy something special to remind you of your success.
The thrill of the game of life is plotting your path, facing challenges head on and holding someone else’s hand along the way. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Either way, when you focus on the end result and refuse to let hurdles hold you back, you create a life that is filled with possibility. So live life to the fullest in the present moment and keep making make the most of it to attain your vision.
